Venue
A recently renovated, 40-foot high, 19th century Dutch hay barn, the Allerton Music Barn's accessible concert hall seats 175 people in an intimate setting with outstanding acoustics and original wooden beams.
Artists
World-renowned guest artists and Grammy-winning faculty from the UI School of Music perform in solo, cabaret, jazz, classical, and chamber concerts, including this year's first commissioned work for soprano, cello, and piano.

Light gourmet fare and beverages, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase one hour before each performance and during each intermission.
Dress
The Allerton Music Barn is well ventilated but not air conditioned. We recommend comfortable, casual-chic attire.
History
Now in its fourth year, the festival showcases outstanding music and sells out each season.

Music Barn events have included the Chicago Afro-Latin Jazz Ensemble, Grammy-winning Pacifica Quartet, internationally-acclaimed pianist Boris Berman, Piazzolla's tango opera "Maria de Buenos Aires" with pre-concert tango lesson, "Night in Vienna" classical chamber music, Veretzki Pass klezmer, and the worldwide master of bandoneon, Peter Soave.
